Caribana / Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival Toronto 2011

What started out in 1967 as a just a small and quaint heritage event marking Canada’s centennial year, has grown into the largest cultural festival in North America. 2011 marks the 44th year of the 'Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival Toronto'.festival (previously called Caribana), Toronto’s world famous Caribbean celebration. This year's fun will run from July 14th to August 1st, and it promises to be HOT! HOT! HOT!

Each year, over 1 million people… including thousands of tourists from the US, visit Toronto to party, eat fabulous food, and dance to the rhythms of the Caribbean. Whether you are young, or just young at heart… whether you visit with a group of friends or with the family, the Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival Toronto will have something for you.

Caribana Parade

The marquee event of Caribana 2011 will be, as always, the Caribana Parade. This year’s parade is scheduled for July 31st, and it will once again feature thousands of dancers dressed up in spectacular Caribana costumes, and moving to the rhythms and beats of the mas bands.

In addition to determining how you are going to get to Toronto (if you are not already there), make sure you take the time to select the best Toronto Caribana hotel packages available. Many Toronto hotels have Caribana specials on, and a little price shopping and research might be well worth the time.
